Here are links to some of my favorite resources:

Washoe County Recorder's Office. This link gives access to most recorded documents in Washoe County going back to 11/19/1991. It allows a search of the Grantor-Grantee and Grantee-Grantor indexes. It is possible to download and print copies of most documents recorded after 5/31/2000. This is an excellent resource!

Washoe County Assessor Parcel Maps. This site allows a search of Washoe County Assessor Records either by address or by APN. The result of the search shows an aerial map of the property and adjoining properties, including APNs for all adjacent properties. The search also shows the name of the assessed owner of record, the APN, the property address, the size of the lot, the number of bedrooms and baths, the year built, and the tax district. Finally, it is possible to download a copy of the Assessor's Parcel Map which includes the subject property.

Washoe County Assessor Data Downloads. The Washoe County Assessor makes all its records relating its 186,000 plus Asessor parcels available to download on line. These records are updated every evening. It's necessary to have a database program of some type in order to handle the large volume of records. These are handy as a mailing list source and for obtaining statistical data concerning Washoe County real property.

VZrent.com. This is a very handy free website for the Reno-Sparks area which allows a search for current rental values within a designated perimeter of an address. As I understand it, the site searches Craig's List and other sites where properties are offered for rent. It collects the information which it finds and posts it on a map of the Reno Sparks area.

Nevada Secretary of State Name Search. This site allows a search of registered business entity names in the State of Nevada. It is useful both for determining name availability and for finding public information about existing corporations, LLCs and Limited Partnerships.

Official State of Nevada Website. This link is the portal to Nevada government websites for all three branches of government.

Nevada Real Estate Division. This site includes a large amount of information regarding the Nevada real estate industry. It includes a search facility for licensed brokers and agents.

Nevada Manufactured Housing Division This is the website for the Nevada Manufactured Housing Division. I use this site to search the title for manufactured homes in Nevada.

Nevada State Contractors Board This is the official website of the Nevada State Contractors Board. It contains a database of all licensed contractors, including their name, the type of entity, the principals' names, the license number, the license dollar limit, and the bonding company.

Nevada State Legislature Session Information This is an excellent site for tracking bills as they are introduced and work their way through the Legislature.

Melissa Data This is a major source of targeted mailing lists for use in direct mail marketing.

USPS.com This is an official website of the United State Postal Service. Using this site you can upload a custom marketing postcard, upload your mailing list, and have the Post Office print and mail your postcards for a very reasonable price.

Lyon County Records This is a helpful website for search real estate records in Lyon County, which includes Yerington and Fernley.

U.S. Copyright Office This is the official website of the U.S. Copyright Office. It contains great information and FAQs about copyright law.

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office This is the official FAQ page for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. It contains helpful information about patents and trademarks.

The True Stella Awards This is an entertaining website which publishes information about outrageous lawsuits and jury awards.
